Welcome to the home page of the World Hash Space, where we have built a new place for hashers to meet. We took some entertainment and inter-hashional communications pages from the World HHH Home Page and combined them with the original world hash space – HHHWeb.com personal hash websites - to support the largest world hash space membership in the world. With over twenty thousand hash members, you are more likely to find your hash friends here than on any website location in the world.
You will need to log in to view the various features. If you are not a member, just click on the link and sign up for your GlobalKey membership which may be used for all Global Trash sponsored websites and resources you have permissions to access. Membership is open to all members of Hash House Harrier groups around the world.
The first World Hash Space was created in 2004 and provided hundreds of hashers the tools to create their own websites, photo albums, hash journals, guestbooks (now called forums or what some of you call blogs) and more on the HHHWeb.com domain. We are now moving those personal sites to WorldHashSpace.com. However, HHHWeb.com is still the home to Visual OnSec On-Line, the world hash space for Hash House Harrier groups, providing them with a thorough suite of website, hash trash, photo album and mismanagement tools.
Moved from the WorldHHH.com to the World Hash Space are the following popular features:
World Hash Forum - The original hash blog which began as letters to the editor in Global Trash magazine in 1993, labeled Hash Forum, which was later put on-line in 1995. We still prefer to call it a forum rather than a blog, because the term blog suggests a bunch of pimply-faced nerds attacking each other anonymously, where as a Hash Forum is more of a place for a friendly exchange of comments and ideas on subjects of hash interest. The new Hash Forum has a general forum for open discussion and specific forums for GM's, RA's, songmasters, trailmasters, webmasters, OnSecs, interhashes, etc. It now allows anyone start a new thread within each forum, so you no longer need to wait on the editor to come up with a subject on which to comment. Every World Hash Space member is provided their own forums on their personal World Hash Space website, as well as a forum for every hash with a Visual OnSec website. Currently, there are hundreds of forums out there.
World Hash Chat Room - There has been a chat room on the World HHH Home Page and its earlier pages under Global Trash since the nineties. It was the first chat room dedicated full-time to hashing and the only one to the editor’s knowledge. We hope it will be used more often here. Just ask your hash friends to, “Meet me in the World Hash Space chat room!”
Joke of the Day - Hundreds of examples of old and new, funny and silly, bawdy humor served up daily for over a decade, now moved to the World Hash Space. Enjoy.
Hare Doktor - Global Trash magazine began publishing in 1994 a humorous advice column written in a local hash trash for Aloha HHH by Flying Booger called Dr. Down Down. When he quit furnishing copy a year later, there was still a readership to be satisfied, so in 1995, the first Hare Doktor column went out and has been amusing and amazing hashers ever since.
World HashList - The second oldest hash email list with a worldwide scope was hashlist@gthhh.com, which has now moved to hashlist@worldhhh.com. Details and information on how to subscribe and unsubscribe, boring guidelines and suggestions to keep it friendly are found on this page.
World HHH Member Directory - About 24 thousand hashers have been entered as contacts for individual hashes or registered as members of the World HHH Home Page and now World Hash Space. Where they have provided it and where it is allowed to be viewed or accessed, you can search out these hashers and find phone contacts, email addresses, send them a Hash Mail and view their own World Hash Space website if they have one. This directory has been a part of the Hasher Finder effort for which Global Trash has helped hundreds of hashers reunite over the last decade and a half.
We hope you enjoy!
Cheers and On On
